Onduparaka forward Vitalis Tabu will host guests and friends for his wedding reception, slated for September 28th, and football-256.com brings you the guide to the merry-making event.
Tabu held his nikkah which essentially consists of the marriage contract and the official exchange of vows in the Islamic setting, six years ago on July 4th, 2013 with his wife Angaika Julufa.
The nikkah ceremony was a rather simple ceremony with mainly family members and a few friends in attendance to witness the ceremony.
The wedding reception will take place close to two months after Tabu’s 26th birthday in the West Nile district of Arua.
The magnificent Heritage Courts Hotel, on plot 24, Weather head Park Lane, Anyafio overlooking the Golf course in Arua will be the venue for the party.
Who is Tabu’s Bride?
Tabu, 26, hails from the West Nile district of Yumbe and is an Aringa by tribe. And for the choice of a life partner, he returned to his home district and tribe where he met the beautiful Angaika Julufa
Tabu and Angaika are childhood sweethearts with the two knowing each other since the age of 13. However, the pair officially started dating in 2011.
The bride and her groom dated for two years before they decided to make it official, tying the knot in 2013. The couple has since had two children; Five year old Aljanat Tahia and one year old Ishan Abdulmalik.
Tabu has invited a couple of distinguished guest, with FUFA President, Eng. Moses Magogo topping the list of invited guests.
Tabu’s teammates at Onduparaka have all been invited plus the members of the backroom staff, which includes the kits men and members of Onduparaka media team.
Tabu’s former teammates Muhammad Shaban, Toha Rashid, Agau Rashid and Alionzi Nafian, Gaddafi Gadinho and KCCA midfielder Gift Ali with whom they played with at the younger age groups have been invited.
This website also understands that Uganda Cranes captain Dennis Onyango, Emmanuel Okwi, Farouk Miya and KCCA quartet Saddam Juma, Keziron Kizito, Allan Okello and Mustapha Kizza have also made the invitation list.
Tabu’s coach at Onduparaka Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, URA coach Sam Ssimbwa and the player’s favorite coach, Dudu Bosco who unearthed the talent in him in 2003 during the kids league are some of the former coaches that have been invited.
Members of the fourth Estate have also been invited; with football-256 very own Clive Kyazze, Kawoowo sports’ David Isabirye and Nsereko Africana of FUFA media included on the guests list.
However, the organizing committee has revealed to this website that attendance is not limited to invitation cards, and they have called upon all Onduparaka fans and all fans of Tabu to come and celebrate with him.
What’s on the menu? Being an event hosted by a Muslim brother, expect delicious pilao, lots of fun but it will be an exclusively non-alcoholic ceremony.
