Four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA have entered a new partnership with Rwenzori Bottling Company for two years as their official water partner.
The partnership that was unveiled on Thursday morning at the club’s headquarters in Nakawa is worth UGX60M.
Rwenzori will provide 200 boxes of water per month to URA FC for two seasons i.e. 2019/2020 and 2020/2021.
“Partners are very important in the game of football more so when it is becoming more competitive like these days and unless you have partners to help you then it may become very unsustainable,” URA chairman James Kizza said at the function.
“We have not been having partners as URA FC but for this club to have a long term future and also do some of the things like getting a stadium we need to have partners.”
“I am glad we have a new partner who has a very huge brand in the country and I thank them for having trusted us and agreed to support us as a Club,” Kizza added.
Rwenzori is the first official partner URA are bringing on board under the tenure of Ivan Kakembo as their Chief Executive Officer.
