Friendly match will be a very good test for the girls – Ayub Khalifah.

As the U-17 women national team continues with their preparations of the inaugural edition of the U-17 COSAFA women tournament in Mauritius, head coach Ayub Khalifah believes that the first friendly against Kampala select on Wednesday will be a good test.

“The girls are catching up very fast, thy’re energetic and Wednesday’s friendly will a very good test for the girls,” Ayub told www.football-256.com.

“We look forward to the game, and we hope to improve and learn a few things from the friendly,” He added.

Ayub also commended the progress he has seen from his players thus far, and he hopes by the time the tournament kicks off, they will be much better.

“We are really perfecting the skills because this category is mostly about development and learning. Day three of the training is better from where we started and we hope for the best. He added.

The U-17 women national team started their preparations on Sunday when the team entered camp at FUFA technical center, Njeru. And they are to play their first friendly against Kampala select.

All the 30 summoned players are already in camp which will last 10 days, before they are trimmed to 20 players that will travel to Mauritius.

The announcement for the final 20 players that will travel is expected on Wednesday after the Kampala select friendly.

The team is expected to have the second friendly game on 15th which could be the last before departure to Mauritius.

Defenders: Akalinda Gilian (Olila High School), Kabarwani Cissy (King of Kings), Nangozi Maureen (Mukono High School), Lwetuso Regina (Taggy High School), Abba Immaculate (Gadafi Integrated), Atwiine Precious (Upper Hill College), and Namuddu Aisha (Sheema Girls).

Midfielders: Nakacwa Kevin (Uganda Martrys), Nakacwa Samali (Kawempe Muslim SS), Nyinagahirwa Shakira (Kawempe Muslim SS), Kunuhira Margret (Kawempe Muslim SS), Nyakato Ruth (King of Kings), Babirye Sarah (Kayindu SS), Abiyo Racheal (Olila High School), and Komuntale Sumayah (King of Kings).

Forwards: Nalukenge Juliet (Kawempe Muslim SS), Najjemba Fauzia (Mukono High), Nakiyingi Sophie (Gadafi Integrated), Nagadya Catherine (Katuuso Community SS), Nandede Zainah (Amus College), Namaganda Zaitun (Taggy High School), Nadunga Bira (Olila High School), Nandago Hadijah (Kawempe Muslim SS), Chandia Lillian (Alele SS) and Adokole Esther (Amus College).

Ayub is the perfect coach for the CREASTED CRANE….in particular but even there it’s good for the country…..BIGUP AYUB KALIFA.
