Uganda has always been known for producing goalkeepers and defenders, but the country has fallen short of strikers in the recent past.

But the U15 CECAFA Champions, coached by Jackson Magera proved to have both as they dominated games defensively and offensively.

Uganda defeated Kenya 4-0 to win the title played on Friday, August 30th to complete the tournament without conceding any goal but scoring a total of 23 goals in five games.

Patrick Ouke and Travis Mutyaba scored two first-half goals before Abbas Kyeyune sealed it with a second-half brace with a fantastic display from the Ugandan side at Cicero Stadium in Asmara, Eretria.

Ouke found the back of the net after just 20 minutes with a smooth header before Mutyaba doubled the lead with a freekick, Kyeyune then made it 3-0 for Uganda with a header from close range.

Before he completed his brace powerful shot, his second on the day also took him to nine goals as he finished as the tournament’s top scorers.
