Stylish Cranes midfielder William Luwagga Kizito might have scored a brace over the weekend when he came off the bench at the start of the second half but it wasn’t enough to save his Shakter Karagandy side from a painful 3-2 loss away to Ordabasy FC.

Luwagga came on in the 46th minute for Croatian Ivan Pesic and scored his first goal in the 50th minute before completing his double in the 59th minute.

However, the former Rio Ave player was delighted for the two goals but again sad as his team failed to pick up a point from the match one would think they would at least take a point home.

“It wasn’t a perfect day because we lost the game after giving all we would,” Luwagga told

“Yes I scored a brace but the dressing room was down. We wanted a better result and come Sunday, we will do our best to get maximum points.”

Since joining Shakter Karagandy earlier this year, Luwaga has featured in 16 games making a total of 1038 minutes with three goals to his name.
