Football-256 will hold it’s first-ever Outreach on Sunday, August 25th, 2019, at Police Children School playground in Kibuli with the children of Yaeger Charity Soccer Academy.
The children are set to benefit in one way or the other through counselling, scholastic materials and learning of new soccer skills.
Wakiso Giants duo of defender Ayub Kisalita and goalkeeper Derrick Emukule are set to pass on soccer skills to the children whose dreams are to one-day great soccer players.
“We are looking at changing society in one way or the other, one of those is through sports and football in particular,” Football-256 Outreach coordinator Henry Mubiru told this website.
“We are grateful to Wakiso Giants for the opportunity to allow us to work with their players, this will give the children confidence that with hard work, determination and staying in school will take themselves places,” Mutebi added.
Football-256 Outreach will donate scholastics materials from wellwishers and friends but the Uganda Counselling Association (UCA) will hold sessions with the players and coaches.
Yeager Charity Soccer Academy was founded in 2017 by Shakirah Nalweyiso, and it accommodates over 215 children with 15 of those being girls aged five years to 18.
They are taught the basics of football daily during holidays from 1400HRS to 1730HRS at the Police Children School playground in Kibuli.
