Ugandan Players Abroad: Debuts for Wasswa and Kyambadde as Miya moves

On Tuesday Cranes assistant skipper Hassan Wasswa made his debut for his new side Jeddah FC as they shared spoils 1-1 in the Saudi Arabia Division 1 League at Prince Abdullah Bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium.

Former KCCA FC, Vipers and Express midfielder Allan Kyambadde marked his debut for Egyptian outfit El Gouna FC in a preseason buildup match against Slovenian side Celje FC which ended 2-2 on Wednesday.

In South Africa, goalkeeper Denis Onyango was in goal as his Mamelodi Sundowns side drew 1-1 with Cape Town City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium last evening. Over the weekend, Onyango was in goal as Sundowns again drew 1-1 away at Chippa United.

Left-back Joseph Ochaya played full time as his TP Mazembe side crushed Bukavu Dawa 6-0 in their DRC league opener while Savio Kabugo was not in the 18-man squad as his AS Vita beat up on Simba 4-0 at the Martyrs Stadium.

Right-back Nicholas Wadada played full time as his Azam FC side lost 4-2 to Simba SC in the Tanzanian Super Cup. Defender Timothy Awany is enjoying playing time at Ashdod FC in Israel, he played the entire game as they defeated Bnei Yehuda 4-2 in Penalties in the Total Cup Ligat Al at home following a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Alex Kakuba played 90 minutes and also got booked in the 72nd minute as his Cova Piedade side defeated Feirense 2-1 in the Portuguese Segunda Liga played at the Estadio Municipal Jose Martins Vieira.

In Croatia, Faruku Miya was an unused substitute as his Gorica side lost 3-0 away to Hadjuk Split in what was his last game for Gorica before crossing to Turkish side Konyaspor FC on a three-year deal.

Viktoria Zizkov side defeated Chrudim 0-3 away from home in the second division of the Czech Republic but there was no show of left-back Isaac Muleme.

Opondo played full time as his Odense side lost 2-0 away to Nordsjaelland FC while midfielder Robert Kakeeto was not in the 18-man squad as his Aalborg side lost 2-1 to Brondby.

Luwagga Kizito came on in the 85th minute for Sergei Zenjov as his Shakhter Karagandy side defeated Kaisar 3-0 at home In Khazakstan.

Across England in the Championship, right back Herbert Bochorn was an unused substitute as his Huddersfield Town side lost 1-2 at home to Fulham FC.

Forward Alexis Bakka played full time for Carlstard United in the Swedish division one, they lost 4-2 away to Team Thoren. Another forward Fabien Kizito came off in the 61st minute for Alexander Alp as his Nykoping side drew 1-1 at home to Akropolis.

Moses Oloya, Geoffrey Baba Kizito and Joseph Mpande all played full time as their clubs Hanoi FC, Saigon FC and Haiphong FC defeated Danang, Viettel and Then Hoa 1-2, 0-1 and 0-3 all away from home respectively in the Vietnam league.
