KCCA FC’s new signings John Revita and Simon Sserunkuma were both handed their debuts in the 3-1 win over Onduparaka FC in the Pilsner Super 8 semifinals at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo on Friday.

Allan Okello scored a brace after Musa Ramathan but Mike Mutebi had time to praise two of his three signings, who he thought were remarkable.

“They both played very well with great confidence which really matches with the club’s tradition and style of play and that’s why they were our main targets for recruitment,” Mutebi said after the game.

“Despite losing a couple of starting players we hope that our new signings can perfectly step in and the game against Onduparaka was a right fixture to boost their confidence.”

“Ahead of the 2019/2020 Uganda Premier League everyone is waiting for them and therefore playing Onduparaka was a good test for them because it’s one of the best teams in the league and indeed they passed the test,” he added.

After the exit of defender Timothy Awany and midfielder Allan Kyambadde who both left the club last month for Ashdod FC in Israel and El Gouna FC in Egypt respectively Revita and Sserunkuma are here to fill the void.

Revita who also features for the Uganda Cranes joined the Kasasiro boys from Express FC to add confidence and experience to the KCCA defense which is dominated by junior players in; Ramadan, Samuel Kato and Peter Magambo.

Sserukuma is also a new recruit at KCCA from Tooro United FC who plays as a winger but can also operate in the middle of the park as an attacking midfielder just like against Onduparaka.

In the hunt for KCCA goals upfront, striker Sadat Anaku from the KCCA development side will be helped out by new signing Erisa Ssekisambu and Veteran striker Mike Mutyaba, Okello, Sserunkuma should be the others to put in a shift.
