When Vipers needed a striker ahead of the 2019/2020 season, Shaban Mohammed was available, and like they say, ‘the rest is history.’

And the striker who was released by Raja Casablanca for breach of contract is thrilled about the new development.
“I am thrilled to be joining Vipers SC,” the 2016 FUFA Footballer of the year was qouted by the club website.
“I’m looking forward to playing in the Uganda Premier League again. I’m keen to get started and make my contribution to the team’s efforts to win more trophies,” he added.
Shaban is familiar with the surrounding at Kitende, having played under Edward Golola at St Mary’s, the latter is now the head coach at Vipers.
“Shaban is a very talented and good player. Our season last year showed us that we need options and quality to add depth to the squad upfront and Shaban is a proven marksman. I’m delighted that he accepted to join us,” Golola noted.
In the Uganda Premier League, Shaban has featured for Onduparaka and KCCA FC scoring 18 goals in his first season at KCCA FC.
