Transfers: Uganda Cranes midfielder joins new team in Denmark

Uganda Cranes midfielder Moses Opondo is the latest Ugandan to move again in the ongoing transfer window.

The 21 year old who can also play as a forward recently crossed to Odense Boldklub in the Danish Premier League following the relegation of his now former side Vendyssel FC.

Opondo joined Vendyssel in 2016 after youthful spells at Aalborg FC and a total of nine goals in three years.

At his new side Odense, he has featured in only one game that came over the weekend when he came on as a 71st minute substitute for Thomasen in a tie they won 0-1 away at Esbjerg to move to fifth place on six points from four matches.

Opondo was also part of the Uganda Cranes 2019 AFCON qualification journey where he made the bench in the barren stalemate against Tanzania Taifa Stars at the Mandela National Stadium last year.
