First, it was Ethiopian Bamlak Tessema, then South African Victor Gomes to officiate the 2019 Total Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Algeria at the Cairo International Stadium on July 19th.
It won’t be Gomes now but Cameroonian Sidi Alioum to handle the game together with his fellow countrymen Evarist Menkouande and Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue as first and second assistants respectively.
Gabonese official Eric Arnaud Otogo Castane will be the fourth official, Millot Benoit from France the Video Assistant Referee, he will be assisted by Bakary Papa Gassama from The Gambia and Zakhele Thusi Granville Siwela from South Africa.
Alioum last officiated Tunisia’s 3-0 win over Madagascar at the quarterfinal stage of the competition, he was also involved in Morocco’s 1-0 win over Ivory Coast in the Group Stages.
He also officiated the opening game of the 32nd edition involving Egypt and Zimbabwe on June 21st at Cairo International Stadium.
