Sixteen-time Uganda Premier League winners, SC Villa is set to reunite with coach Ibrahim Kirya, has learned.

According to sources close to the club, Kirya will be officially unveiled as the new head coach of the league record champions this Friday to replace Douglas Bamweyana who already left the club.

Kirya last season guided Wakiso Giants to promotion in the top tier on their first time of asking but was later let go and replaced by Kefa Kisala.

Kirya who guided Villa to the 2015 Stanbic Uganda Cup will have to prepare a team that will take back Villa to their old glory days’ following an unconvincing season that saw them fight for their lives in the top tier.

Already in the off season, Villa has lost two players in Pius Wangi and Joseph Ssemujju to yet to be named clubs.
