After comfortably knocking Kampala Queens out of the FUFA Women’s Cup, Lady Doves coach Oliver Mbekeka believes her side can go all the way and lift the championship.

Lady Doves defeated Kampala Queens 3-0 at the round 16 to make the last eight in a game played at Old Kampala primary school on Sunday.

“I already see my team winning this trophy, we prepared more than they did and the players followed my instructions,” Mbekeka told www.football-256.com.

“As I told you, we respected them (Kampala Queens) but never feared them, I do prepare my players not as women, because they play a game of men I have to prepare them as men that’s why we managed to win this game,” she added.

Kenyan international Mary Cynthia Wanjinku gave the visitors the lead 11 minutes into the first half with a long-range strike outside the box.

Former Kampala Queens player Winnie Babirye doubled Lady Dove’s lead in the 64th minute before Wanjiku completed her brace in the 81st minute to seal the victory for the visitors.
