Wakiso Giants to pay tuition for young passionate fan

FUFA Big League side Wakiso Giants have pledged to pay tuition for a young passionate fan based in Jinja.

The boy, seemingly between the age of nine and 12 was sighted at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe with a painted body when the side defeated Nebbi Central 2-0.

This prompted the club management to take to social media asking for 500 tweets if anyone wanted the club to pay for the boys tuition.

With 24 hours the post had gathered over 600 retweets and over 500 likes from the different account followers all over the world.

“We are going to meet our obligation like we pledged,” Wakiso Giants head of corporate affairs Ismael Kiyonga told

“We have already started looking for his details and guardians then know his schools details then finalize everything. We expect to hand over the pledge at our next home against Dove All stars

“This is just the beginning as we try to give back to society especially those that show us unconditional love like that young man,” Kiyonga added.

Wakiso Giants top the Elgon group after eight outings, they have won four and drawn four accumulating 16 points.

Previously, they hoped to host their games in Wakiso after buying off Kamuli Park but FUFA Club Licencing Board directed that they play in the East and chose Bugembe.
