School boy mistakes costing Ndejje Lions

Newly promoted StarTimes Uganda Premier League Ndejje Lions are running out of ideas especially on how to turn the season around.

Ndejje lost their ninth game of the season against Maroons 3-2 at home, a game they scored first through Noel Nasasira in the 23rd minute.

Ronald Orombi and Samson Mutyaba gave Maroons a first half lead conceding goals through school  boy mistakes according to coach Raymond Komakech.

“We make some many school boy mistakes,” Komakech told after the loss.

“As if that is not enough, we also don’t convert our chances, we create chances but we just can’t convert them.”

Ndejje has only managed two wins this season, against Paidha Black Angels and Mbrarara City. And two draws, against Kirinya Jinja SSS and SC Villa.

Komakech confesses that this is not how he planned to end the first round, sitting in the red zone of the 16 team log.

“We hoped to finish in a decent mid table spot, but not in the relegation zone. But it’s not too late, we hope to rectify our mistakes and revive our season,” Komakech added.

Ndejje are also out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after they were defeated 1-0 by Kansai Plascon at home.
