Ibrahim Orit strike sees off Tooro United at Kakyeka Stadium

Mbarara city edged Tooro united 1-0 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League western derby played at Kakyeka Stadium on Tuesday evening.

It was Ibrahim Orit’s goal in the 29th minute the Livingstone Mbabazi coached side needed to bag all three points.

Paul Mucureezi, the November Pilsner Player of the Month was wasteful on several occasions in a game they would have managed more than one goal.

Mbarara city’s defender Hillary Mukundane was named the Pilsner man of the match after his profound performance in front of a decent crowd.

Mbarara city’s win against Tooro United pushed them to a brilliant home record of 5 wins out of 6 games.

Livingstone Mbabazi’s side have collected 20 points and lie 14th on the 16 team log while Tooro remain on 10 points and in 11th position.

Mbarara City will pay a visit to Vipers SC at St Mary’s stadium next while Tooro United will host the “prisoners” Maroons FC at Buhinga stadium Fort Portal before the Christmas break.
