Premier Soccer League side Chippa United have rang changes in their technical staff as they prepare for the restart of the Absa Premiership next weekend.

Former Uganda Cranes shotstopper Posnet Omony who has been handling the goalkeeping department could have been caught up in the reshuffle storm.

The Chilli Boys have shipped in 11 goals in 11 games with experienced Cameroonian Patrick Tinyemb between the sticks.

When contacted for a comment by Soccer Laduma Omony could neither confirm nor deny the situation.

“I cannot confirm nor deny it because nothing is on paper” Omony is quoted saying, he was then quizzed further, the Ugandan opened up further.

“It’s a verbal communication from the GM of the club, apparently the coach Norman Mapenza doesn’t want me here.”

The former SC Villa custodian was in his second stint with the Chill Boys with the first outing being in 2015 when Serbian coach Vladislav Heric was in charge.

The Port Elizabeth based side resume their relegation fight against Black Leopards next Wednesday at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium.
