New Vision were crowned the overall winners of the inaugural edition of the Media gala that happened over the weekend at the Mandela National stadium, Namboole, luckily for them, Football-256 did not take part in the event.

But the daily were dominant in football, as they beat sister media house Bukedde FM to emerge winners in that category, while they were unstoppable in the Athletics discipline, beating Dream TV who came second. In netball however, they were second best behind winners Impact FM.

The event was graced by the Ambassador of France to Uganda Jules Armand Aniambossou, who appreciated the organisers for the great initiative, and pledged more support from the Government of France through the embassy in Kampala in the upcoming editions.
