The Ayub Khalifa coached side pulled off another 12-0 win over Botswana in the semi-finals on Friday to make the finals of the U-17 women COSAFA tournament in Mauritius.
Fauzia Najjemba was in perfect form scoring a double hattrick and eventually was voted player of the match at St Francois Xavier stadium.
Margaret Kunihira opened the account for Uganda after just three minutes into the game thanks for Patricia Akiror’s cross from the left.
Skipper Juliet Nalukenge scored the second and third in the 14th and 24th minute to stretch the lead to 3-0 and take her tally to 19 goals in four games.
Kunihira doubled her goal tally in the 35th minute after tantalizing Botswana defence to make it 4-0 for Uganda.
Mukono High School’s Najjemba got her brace in the 37th and 45th minute as Uganda stretched her lead to 6-0 before halftime.
Uganda who looked the better side as Najjemba and Nalukenge added salt in Botswana wounds making it seven and eight respectively, completing their hat-tricks just two minutes into the second half.
Kunihira also grabbed her self a hat-trick in the 58th minute after her sole effort from the left wing into the box to make it 9-0 for the Pearl of Africa.
Najjemba saw herself back on the score sheet after scoring her fourth, fifth and sixth in the 63rd, 67th and 84th minutes sealing the victory for Uganda.
