Poor travelers Tooro United submit to struggling Ndejje Lions

Tooro United last tested victory away from home in StarTimes Uganda Premier League last October with their 0-1 over BUL FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

And it will stay that way for now as they again lost to struggling Ndejje Lions 4-3 at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.

Ndejje’s Francis Onekalit had registered a brace inside 10 minutes, however Ronald Odokonyero conceded an own goal to bring Tooro back into the game.

Mahad Kakooza leveled matter but Tooro United failed to contain the pressure Ndejje was piling at them and conceded a penalty that was put away by Anwar Ntege in the third minute of the 45.

Odokonyero had another goal to his name but this time around in the right net as Ndejje put the score at comfortable 4-2 lead in the 77th minute.

Simon Sserunkuma’s 89th goal wasn’t enough to help Tooro pick at least a point as Ndejje registered their third win at home, the others were against Mbarara City (1-0) and Paidha Black Angels (1-0).

The loss keeps Tooro in eighth position while it takes Ndejje to 14th position, two points above the relegation zone.
